Privacy Statement
Effective Date: November 2, 2012
Thank you for visiting www.mortgageoversight.com, a site presented to you by The Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight. We know that your privacy is important to you, so we provide this privacy statement to explain the type of information we collect, how we use it, and when we share it. We also describe the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
Information We Receive
We receive information if you choose to fill out either form on the “Report My Loan Issue” or “Report Client/Constituent Loan Issues” pages. When filling out the forms on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address or phone number. We also ask for information about the issues you are reporting to us regarding a mortgage. The “Report Client/Constituent Loan Issues” form permits you to submit additional information of your choice. If you direct us to share information with the financial institution that serviced the mortgage at issue, then we also will ask for the loan account number. Otherwise, please do not include other financial account numbers, Social Security numbers or similar financial information through this online form.
In some cases, you may also provide information on behalf of another person, such as a client you represent. You may not use this site to submit information on behalf of another person unless you have that person’s permission to do so.
Automatic Information Collection and Opt Out Information
This website uses cookies to track information such as the number of visitors, which features of the site were used and how often, and referring and exiting web page URLs. How each browser type communicates the Do Not Track signal is not yet uniform so we cannot guaranty that this site or its tracking features will respond to all Do Not Track signals. Finally, you also may block cookies using your browser settings, which may prevent certain features of our site from functioning properly.
